The EHI team in Brussels welcomes Monica Di Pinti, our new Senior Public Affairs Advisor.
Monica has 5+ years’ experience in European affairs and energy policies. Before joining EHI, she was working at CEDEC, the European Federation of Local Energy Companies, as policy advisor following the implementation of the European Green Deal, notably the ‘Fit for 55’ and the ‘hydrogen and decarbonised gas market’ packages and the sustainable finance’s taxonomy.
Prior to that, she spent two years in the Brussels’ office of the British multinational energy company Centrica plc, supporting its advocacy activities in the field of energy and climate, with a special focus on digitalisation of the energy market. She also had a work experience at Eurocities, the European network of cities.
At EHI, she will be supporting the team and EHI members in the public affairs and advocacy activities, including on files such as the Fit for 55 and the electricity market design.
Monica holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomatic Affairs at the University of Bologna, where she graduated with a thesis on the external dimension of European energy policies. During the university, she spent one year as Erasmus student at SciencesPo Paris. In addition to her native Italian, she speaks English and French.
