On November 23rd EHI published a video interview between our Secretary General Federica Sabbati and Danish Member of the European Parliament Morten Petersen (ITRE), Shadow Rapporteur on the Energy Performance Building Directive.
A fresh format to showcase a frank conversation with a prominent member of the European Parliament, discussing some of the issues he cares about, as do we: renewing our heating systems while skilling and re-skilling installers across Europe.
This interview is also part of our awareness raising actions on the issue of the lack of installers, especially in light of our commitment to the Pact For Skills, after the recognition EHI received from the European Commission as the 1000th member of the Pact on November 16th. As EHI we have pledged to provide training on efficient and renewable technologies for those 750 000 installers needed,without whom we won’t be able to decarbonize the building sector and reach the Green Deal targets for 2030 and 2050, as well as the #REPowerEU goals.
