The Renovation Wave: Modernising our Heating Systems for Carbon-Neutral Buildings

Webinar "The Renovation Wave: Modernising our Heating Systems for Carbon-Neutral Buildings" – 8 October,15:00 CET

8 October 2020
15:00-16:00 CET

hosted by the European Heating Industry

With the EU institutions now firmly geared towards economic recovery efforts and a renewed climate ambition, we are in the midst of important policy change. But the road to a carbon-neutral economy will be complex, and there is no time to lose.

This is especially true for the building renovation market. EHI will launch its Heating Market Report at this event, drawing insights from the largest available data set from the European heating market.

Although innovation over the past decade has led to a broad spectrum of efficient modern appliances, data demonstrates that these are not found in most European homes, the majority of which still run on old and inefficient heating systems.

Decisive policy action will be needed to make carbon-neutral buildings a reality. This will be a transition that we get to witness in our very homes; so it’s crucial we get it right.

Join us on Thursday 8 October 2020 from 15:00-16:00 CET to discuss how heating will help solve the complex challenge of making our buildings carbon neutral:

  • Pernille Weiss, Member of the European Parliament and Shadow Rapporteur for the European Parliament Report ‘on maximising the energy efficiency potential of the EU building stock’
  • Karlis Goldstein, Energy Efficiency Adviser in the Cabinet of Kadri Simson, European Commissioner for Energy
  • Bertrand Schmitt, CEO of BDR Thermea and EHI Board Member
  • Federica Sabbati, Secretary General of EHI
