Wednesday, June 19, 2018, 16:00-17:30 – Venue: Berlaymont building (Room Walter Hallstein), Rue de la Loi, 200, B-1040 Brussels
During the EU Sustainable Energy Week in Brussels, the European Commission will host the conference “Policy meets property: a combined perspective on energy efficiency in buildings”.
During this event, EHI will present #Build2050, a comprehensive view on how to achieve the decarbonisation of buildings, based on a break-the-silo approach. #Build2050 brings together all the various industries involved in decarbonizing buildings: energy supply / distribution, insulation, heating and cooling technologies (check out the EHI website for more info).
This fits perfectly the aim of the event: to better understand the goals set by EU policies for buildings, to highlight challenges and to discuss solutions, with respect to the long-term EU objectives and a focus on energy efficiency.
The event, co-organised by the ZIA (German Property Federation) is a unique opportunity to present the EHI view to high-level decision makers as well as to a large audience. Indeed, the agenda combines keynotes by the Commissioners, as well as a panel discussion with high-level representatives from the building sector. Commissioners Miguel Arias Cañete and Günther H. Oettinger have confirmed their participation.
