Italy is launching a new project to inform consumers about the advantages of replacing their old heating system with a new, more performing one. The project is called HARP – Heating Appliances Retrofit Planning and aims at promoting renovation and the use of efficient heating technologies by labelling the installed stock of heaters. This way individuals are aware of the efficiency level of their old appliances and can compare with the new ones, better understanding the importance of replacement to achieve energy savings and increased comfort. The objective is to have at least 10.000 consumers replacing their inefficient heating systems with modern technologies within the duration of the HARP project.
